recent reports, LODHA developers have bought a land parcel in Mumbai 's suburb,
Jogeshwari. It is a land parcel of 5 acres worth Rs. 376 crore. The land
belonged to Patel Engineering which is now owned by Lodha developers. This deal
was made by the objective of selling assets to reduce debts by Patel Realty.
Shareholder's approval was sought by Patel Engineering to dispose off its
non-core assets to cuts debt. Rs. 325 crore is being lent to Lodha for funding
this land acquisition by lenders to Patel Engineering. The signing was done on
Thursday between Lodha and Patel Engineering. As per one of the sources, this
deal is being done inorder to implement the Scheme for Sustainable Structuring
of Stressed Assets ( S4A ) in the company. Lodha is known for setting standards
in real estate industry so some good delivery is expected in Jogeshwari now.
